Our Treatment Coordinator Rachel has recently been our model for the Facial Aesthetics Open Evening, she had her nose to mouth area treated approximately a week ago and this is her experience:
“I was becoming more conscious about the area between my nose and mouth and also the areas on the edges of my lips which I felt were becoming a little down turned and a fold was appearing at the corners (making me look constantly sad). I have been considering having these areas treated for a while and have had volume and shape added to my lips by Allysun before on 2 occasions so I knew I’d be in the best possible hands! So when the opportunity came up to have this done on the open evening I was really excited.
I was quite nervous before the treatment firstly, because I really wanted a natural look and for my smile to remain unchanged and secondly, being a wimp I was worried that it might hurt. On the evening I had the anaesthetic cream applied to the areas which were being treated and in addition I also had dental injections for the extra peace of mind that the treatment would be pain free. The numbness was fantastic but did feel quite odd as it was my whole mouth which was numb. Allysun assured me that the result would be natural and that my smile would remain unchanged which was my main concern.
During the treatment Allysun talked me through every aspect and I can honestly say apart from one area which was a little sore (a scratch) I didn’t feel a thing.
Immediately after the treatment once the numbness had worn off the areas treated felt a little odd and ‘stiff’ an area under my nose on the right hand side was also a little tender to press but otherwise everything was OK. After a day the stiff feeling subsided and the area felt completely normal, there was slight bruising under the corner of my mouth but this was easily covered by make up and went very quickly.
I’m really pleased with my results so far (1 week later) and the response from my friends and family has been positive saying that I have a natural subtle result which is what I was hoping for!”
